Private Mentorship for Bachelor´s Architecture Portfolio

Overview This mentorship offers structured, informed, and personalized guidance for Bachelor of Architecture applicants. Led by a current architecture student at UdK Berlin, the program bridges the gap between creative exploration and academic requirements, leveraging recent, first-hand experience with the application process.

Who is this for? Designed for high school students and gap year students preparing their applications for Bachelor of Architecture programs.

The Approach The aim is to develop a clear, thoughtful, and well-prepared portfolio while strengthening the student’s conceptual skills. The mentorship is strictly one-on-one, customized to the student’s current skill level, artistic interests, and specific target universities.

What the Mentorship Includes

  • Personalized Portfolio Guidance Advice on portfolio content, structure, and improvement aligned with architecture school expectations.
  • Concept & Idea Development Support in developing original project ideas and architectural thinking.
  • Individual Homework & Exercises Custom assignments adapted to each student’s level, timeline, and target schools.
  • Portfolio Reviews & Constructive Feedback Detailed and honest feedback on drawings, sketches, concepts, and portfolio progress.
  • School-Specific Support Guidance adjusted to different architecture schools and their portfolio requirements.
  • Progress Monitoring Continuous evaluation of development and adjustment of mentorship focus when necessary.

Session Format & Pricing

Session Rate 35€ per session (60 minutes). All sessions are conducted one-on-one.

  • In-Person: University Library of TU Berlin & UdK Berlin

Payment Policy Advance payment is required for all online sessions. (For in-person sessions, standard payment terms apply).

This mentorship is an independent service and is not affiliated with any university or admissions committee. While it provides detailed portfolio guidance, participation does not guarantee admission to any specific program or institution.

Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy

To ensure fairness, consistency, and proper planning, the following policy applies to all mentorship sessions:

Rescheduling

  • Sessions may be rescheduled free of charge if notice is given at least 24 hours in advance.
  • Rescheduling requests made less than 24 hours before the session may be considered a used session, unless there is an emergency.

Cancellations

  • Sessions canceled more than 24 hours in advance can be rescheduled or credited toward a future session.
  • Sessions canceled less than 24 hours in advance are non-refundable and cannot be rescheduled.

No-Shows

  • If a student does not attend a session without prior notice, the session will be counted as completed and is non-refundable.

Mentor Cancellations

  • If the mentor needs to cancel or reschedule a session, the session will be fully rescheduled at no additional cost or credited, depending on the student’s preference.

Payment Policy

  • Advance payment is required for all online sessions. (For in-person sessions, standard payment terms apply).
  • Payments are non-refundable, except in cases where sessions are canceled by the mentor.
